National Roofing Partners (NRP) is actively involved in many charities including North Texas Food Bank, The Family Place, Hope’s Kids, Carter Care Blood Drive, and Hope Supply Co. (formerly Captain Hope’s Kids).  NRP employees consistently volunteer their time to these and many more causes.  But one event holds a dear place in the heart of the NRP family and that is The Annual Charity Golf Tournament that benefits the Dallas Defenders Football Club, The Flower Mound Police Association and the Kent Tyler Memorial Fund in Memory of Aubrey McNutt.

During this last month, NRP employees played and volunteered in a golf tournament to raise money for these great organizations:

The mission of the Dallas Defenders Football Club is to provide monetary support to families of fallen Police Officers and Fire Fighters that were killed in the line of duty in the DFW area; to raise funds to benefit the youth in surrounding communities of the DFW area and to increase community awareness through sports to deter youth from gangs.

The Kent Tyler Memorial Fund

In Memory of Aubrey McNutt

Kent Tyler was a 28-year veteran of the Mesquite Police Department who passed away in 2013. As per his wishes, this fund was established to help people with medical hardships.

“This year’s event raised over $21,000. It is a record number since we began this tournament so many years ago,” stated organizer Shawna Seale.  “It is all due to the generosity of so many in our communities coming together in one unified effort to show our support for all of our DFW First Responders and their families, as well as at risk youth and so much more!”

“All of us with the Point After North, as well as the above-mentioned organizations are truly humbled and grateful!!

We will begin planning our next tournament for 2018 in a few short months and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for these efforts as we go forward,” Seale continued.

“NRP is committed to this type of community involvement,” stated Dale Tyler, president of National Roofing Partners.  “Heather Koenning, Senior Roofing Coordinator, initiated and led this service opportunity with a number of our employees.  We believe in giving back to our local community and empowering our employees to take a lead in the efforts.  We are very proud of her efforts and of the organizations that help our DFW First Responders and their families.”
